Will Teeth Cleaning make your teeth to shake?

How many of us have heard that after Dental cleaning/ scaling  by Dentists or hygienists your teeth will shake, break or you might get sensitivity?

What actually happens? Will they really shake?
Yes, it may shake but only for those who have had more deposits inbetween their teeth and along their gum line.

In this case there are lots of deposits called calculus /tartar which when removed by your Dentist will obviously shake. Wondering Whyyyy?????

Why is it shaking after cleaning? Then is cleaning not necessary?
As it is clearly seen, removing a huge amount of unwanted calculus that has been there for months in your teeth was due to YOUR IGNORANCE TO DENTAL HYGIENE.

The more the calculus the more is bone loss in that area so your tooth is unhealthy and to save it from further Mis happenings like falling out you have to get it cleaned and supported according to your Dentist treatment plan this will save your teeth and your general health.

Always remember a shaking tooth is better than a tooth with deposits because your GENERAL HEALTH begins with your mouth as you consume food and you don't want to swallow your tooth dirt(tartar/calculus) .

This is why teeth CLEANING is important. So get it cleaned every 6months.

Why do you get gaps in between teeth after cleaning?

These gaps are not occurring after cleaning but was present from the beginning and they were covered with you tooth dirt (tartar/calculus). So once you have got it cleaned your tooth is standing on its own in its bony socket and not in calculus.

So these gaps, shaking teeth are only for those who haven't got their teeth cleaned for a very long time and for those having gum disease or bone loss

NOT FOR EVERYONE.

If you have any doubts or issues try discussing with your Dentist before your treatment.

Your Dentist / Hygienist is there only to take care of your teeth and not spoil it

Is there any medicine to stop shaking tooth?
No, you can support it by splinting (just like how you join bones in fracture a metal/fibre wire is used to make them stand) or you may need bridges (caps) based on your oral status, preference, affordability and appearance.

Why do u get sensitivity after cleaning?
After your calculus is removed sometimes your root may be shown outside because all these days it was covered with tooth dirt. This dirt would push your gums and cover root of your teeth. So after removing your tooth root may be sensitive as it has no protective enamel

What to do for sensitivity after cleaning?
If your root has been exposed it can be covered back by dental fillings and your dentist may ask you to you de-sensitising tooth paste.
